Review: In this gloriously interactive mystery book, you find yourself embroiled in an intricate case involving a poisoned teacher in the build up to the biggest event of the year, the school talent show... This book is seriously gripping thanks to its interactive elements... The story itself is well-written and includes lots of humour amongst the intrigue, giving it a light feel. Readers will also enjoy the cartoon-like illustrations which appear throughout the story, often themselves serving as clues or puzzles which contribute to the plot. * BookTrust *
A book of heartfelt fun. -- Louise Ellis-Barrett * Armadillo *
Really enjoyable book and unusual format with a choose your own story. I liked the plot, which kept me hooked. Would recommend to others. * Toppsta Reviewer, aged 10 *
We love a 'choose your own' story and this middle grade mystery is one of the best we've come across. It's exciting, interactive and so much fun... There are lots of puzzles and activities, but also an intriguing storyline and brilliant black and white illustrations. Perfect for over 9's! * Toppsta Reviewer *
The illustrations help imagine the story a bit more and the story was so captivating he ended up taking it to bed with him so he didn't have to put it down! * Toppsta Reviewer *
